Designing a Seamless Crypto Platform
I am currently working on a comprehensive crypto platform, which includes a mobile app, website, and extensive dashboards for both super admin and normal admin users. The platform will enable users to manage crypto wallets, track market trends, execute transactions. To make the platform inclusive, I incorporated a glossary feature aimed at helping new users understand crypto-related terminologies, breaking down barriers for entry-level participants in the crypto space.
Challenge
The project presents several key challenges:
1. Complexity of Crypto Transactions: Simplifying crypto transactions for users who may not be familiar with the intricacies of cryptocurrency while ensuring accuracy and security.
2. Security and Trust: Given the nature of crypto, it’s essential to build a trustworthy platform with secure transaction flows, account management, and user data protection.
3. Admin Management: Designing two distinct admin dashboards (super admin and normal admin) to cater to different levels of platform oversight and control. The challenge is to ensure the dashboards are powerful yet easy to use for admins with varying responsibilities.
4. Cross-Platform Consistency: Ensuring a consistent user experience between the mobile app, website, and admin dashboards while maintaining a responsive design for various devices.
5. Provide resources: Providing resources like a glossary, to ensure new users could navigate the platform confidently and understand key crypto terminologies.
My Process
User Research and Insights Gathering
- Conducted research to understand the needs of both end users (those interacting with the platform to buy/sell crypto) and admins (those managing platform operations). This involved analyzing common behaviors, pain points, and workflows to inform design decisions.

Mobile App
- Focused on simplicity and intuitive navigation.
- Designed key functionalities such as wallet management, crypto trading (buy/sell/swap), borrowing, and loan tracking.
- Included a glossary feature in the app to provide concise definitions for crypto jargons like "staking," "gas fees," and "liquidity pools."
Website
- Designed as a marketing tool and a user gateway to explore features and create accounts.
- Ensured visual consistency and seamless integration with the mobile app.
Admin Dashboards
- Super Admin Dashboard: Enabled high-level oversight of transactions, user management, and loan rates.
- Admin Dashboard: Focused on day-to-day operations like approving transactions, monitoring market trends, and managing customer inquiries.

- Created two separate dashboards for super admins and normal admins:
- The super admin dashboard allows full access to all platform activities, enabling them to monitor transactions, view user data, and adjust key settings.
- The normal admin dashboard focuses on more limited tasks, such as transaction verification, loan approvals, and customer management.
- Focused on clarity and efficiency, ensuring that each dashboard served the needs of its users without overwhelming them with unnecessary data.Usability Testing and Iteration
- Conducted rounds of usability testing to refine the user experience for both crypto traders and admins. This involved gathering feedback on key user flows (like transactions and wallet management) and iterating on the design to improve ease of use and accessibility.
- Based on feedback, I continually optimized the layout and flow to create a smoother experience for both user and admin interactions.
Outcome
This project is currently in development, and as we move towards the final stages, initial design implementations are being validated through user testing. We are seeing positive early feedback on the seamlessness of the mobile and web app interfaces. The admin dashboards are being refined, and we are actively ensuring that the platform’s security and usability are aligned with user expectations.
